Welcome to the Hakomi Australia Association

Welcome to the Hakomi Australia Association website. The Association is presently reviewing our role and purpose and while you can still access the website and Members area, we are not accepting applications for membership at the moment. When we have decided on the way forward, we will let the existing membership know the outcome. Until then the website will remain with the exception of the "Become a Member Section".
The Hakomi Australia Association is a non-profit organisation incorporated in New South Wales. The Association aims to create and support a vibrant, interactive community of people, like-minded in their passion for the remarkable practice of Hakomi.

The purpose of this website is two-fold: For professionals trained in the Hakomi Method and as a resource for the public.

For Professionals Trained in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy:

The Hakomi Australia Association aims to:
  • Act as a central contact and sharing space for practitioners in Australia and New Zealand who are trained in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy
  • Inform the public and professionals of the Hakomi method and of related developments in humanistic psychotherapy
  • Foster professional development in the practice of Hakomi
  • Provide a Forum for members who have completed an Hakomi qualification at Graduate level or higher to network and exchange information

Why Join the Hakomi Australia Association?

The Hakomi Australia Association will provide:
  • Information for the general public in order to make Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy more widely known and understood
  • Details about workshops and training that may be available to people who wish to learn more and improve their skills
  • A list of articles and suggested texts that again may give an opportunity for people to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the Hakomi method
